It has been developed on several game consoles, such as Atari and Amiga. This file contains information mainly for the PC version, but you might use some parts for Atari and Amiga versions as well. The game is partially action, partially adventure game. It contains pure fighting, thinking puzzles, and many quiz parts as well. It is clear that you need lot more than brutality to finish this wonderful game. If you like robots, sci-fi, and such, you will be really amazed by this game, even nowadays. Thank you, Silmarils, thank you for this nice game! [1-2] Running the game ---------------------- This game was designed specially for MS-DOS. The sounds are quite realistic, compared to PC Speaker's abilities, and the graphics is also really enjoyable. To complete this game, you also need sounds. It is very important for a part of the game, so listen here: In order to run this game flawlessly, you will need a DOS Emulator to download. DosBox is the best, but you may use VDMSound or some kind of other emulator as well. Do a quick search on the Internet for DOS Emulators, install'em, and read their instructions, how to run this game. If you use this, the game will run correctly. Well, I do have a problem: sometimes the sounds get stattered and unenjoyable. I have Sound Blaster Audigy 2, I have no idea what could be the problem, but it happens occassionally. If it happens to you, try to restart the game sometimes by exiting from DosBox, or whatever you use. Just be sure that when you reach that part (I will tell you about it), the sound works perfectly, otherwise you cannot complete the game. Apart from this minor mistake, the game runs perfectly with DosBox. If you have some kind of other sound card than Audigy 2, you might not encounter this error, I hope. If you use Windows Vista, I think DosBox is your choice, it supports Vista very well. I'm not sure you can run this game under Linux. Try a DOS emulator as well, it might work with some luck. Don't blame me if not, I use Windows XP. [2] THE GAME ============ [2-1] Story ----------- The date is: Far in the future, out of this world, in another dimension. Mankind is almost gone, machines took all over. Starship silhouettes are flickering on the pale horizon of Kronox, this deserted, wild planet. Deep in the planet, a hidden Robot City exists, under the cybronic ruler, Arod 7. This dreadful tyrant rules the whole planet, and plans to conquer the whole Universe and the rest of the mankind. This may not happen. Therefore the rebels have constructed the most effective and deadly robot ever: Metal Mutant. This is, most likely, their last hope for survival, and end Arod 7's reign of terror. Your mission is to find the Robot City, locate the dreadful Arod 7, and destroy him once and for all!!! This is not an easy task, Arod 7 is surrounded by their battle robots, destruction machines, and even the evil residents of the planet Kronox! Outnumbered and out-gunned, you have only one advantage: You can transform yourself to three different forms! A two-legged human cyborg robot with human brain, a dinosaur robot with needle-sharp teeth and flame abilities, and an unstoppable tracked robo-tank with blaster cannons! 3 in 1! Of course, this will not be enough to fulfill your duty and destroy the vicious Arod 7 and his serveants...but if you're lucky and resourceful, you can prevail... [2-2] Controls -------------- For all three forms, you have different controls to move, attack, or use special abilities. At first it might seem difficult, but you will get used to it sooner or later. Don't forget what keys do what...this may mean difference between life and death... Shift - This is your main key. You will need it at almost every move. Enter - Secondary main key. Left arrow - Go to the left. Right arrow - GO to he right. Cyborg mode controls .................... Shift + Left = BackpedaL Shift + Right = Cyborg Axe Shift + End = Recharge power (with Alog11) Shift + PgDn = Cyborg Fork Shift + Home = Grappling Hook Shift + PgUp = Lightning Strike Shift + Down = Transformation to Dino Dino mode controls .................. Shift + Left = Backpedal Shift + Right = Dino Bite Shift + End = Tail Fire burst Shift + PgDn = Energy Shield Shift + Home = Launch a Mosquito robot Shift + PgUp = Hypnotizer Eye Blast Shift + Up = Flame Breath Shift + Down = Transformation to Tank Tank mode controls .................. Shift + Left = Backpedal Shift + Right = Tank blaster Shift + End = Bio-Radar scan Shift + PgDn = Missile launcher Shift + Home = Shoot 45 degrees left Shift + PgUp = Shoot 45 degrees right Shift + Up = Shoot up Shift + Down = Transformation to Cyborg Note that if you turn around, all controls gets inverted! For example, if you're facing to the left, to launch the Grappling hook, you need to use shift + PgUp, and for the Lightning Strike, Shift + Home. It may seem confusing, but you will discover the logics in it, and therefore, will not forget them. Experiment, it'll make gunfire out of a spark, I tell ya! [2-3] Important notes --------------------- During your mission, you will meet several objects, situations, and methods of eliminating your enemies. The following notes will describe these for you, which will unquestionably help you a lot. - When you arrive to Kronox, you do not have most of your abilities what I mentioned earlier. You need to upgrade yourself during your way. You may earn these in small Kyo cartridges placed several locations on the levels. I call these "bacons", since the first thing came to my mind when seeing the first one was a bacon. You may also get these upgradements by operating some computer panels. You will get noticed about these. - Pay attention to the textfield, where your score and the power level is. You may get valuable hints, and sometimes you need to make decisions. These will be shown on the textfield in the form of a question, with the answer YES or NO. Use the arrow keys to change your decision, and the Shift key to confirm it. - Sometimes you will arrive to a floating UFO, hovering still above the ground. This is really important!!! This is the survival module called Alog11! If you switch to Cyborg mode, and use the Shift + End combination, the Alog11 will recharge your lost power, and save the game! This means the old saved game will be overwritten! You may reload this game when you died by choosing the LOAD option (or SAVE option in the French version). - If you start a new game, you may choose either Level 1, 2, or 3. These are difficulty levels. Level 1 is mild, Level 2 is moderate, whilst Level 3 is the hardest! The harder you go, the more enemies will show up, the more damage they will deal to you. Choose wisely! - The TRAINING option is for getting a little appetizer of the game before the real adventure. You have unlimited life (this means if you're destroyed, you can revive yourself), but you cannot enter Robot City, so only the first level is playable in Training mode! You may give it a whirl though, if you wish. - While switching through your forms, consider yourself that you're "not there". This means, while you're transforming yourself, you cannot be harmed. This proved to be extremely useful in monster fights! Always do a quick- transforming if you're under heavy siege! - You may not leave a zone - usually - as long as there are hostile units around. You just need to kill all enemies before you could move forward. - Don't forget what combo does what...you need to react quickly several times. - As far as I know, there are no cheats or trainers for Metal Mutant, but you can try to search one. Besides, cheating is for beginners. [3] THE GAME ============ [3-1] PLANET SURFACE -------------------- Scene 1 ------- Just walk through the screen to the right. Besides, mostly you have to advance to the right.Note that dragon-like head will constantly open his mouth, if you do some attack moves. Scene 2 ------- Your first combat: Some kind of rock-like monster spitting fireballs at you. They do minimal damage, but try not to get yourself bombed right at the start. You may either use Cyborg Fork attack, Tank blasts, Dino Bite or Dino Tailfire. Cyborg Fork and Dino Bite works good, but y'have to move closely, and may take some hits. Tank blasts are safer, but you need at least 10-12 shots to finish this rock-like monster off. Scene 3 ------- Pick up your first "bacon" - an upgrade pack. This will give Cyborg Axe ability. Advance forward. Scene 4 ------- The land ends, and continues as a swamp. You shall see some kind of boiling. Switch to Dino and approach: a light Dino warrior will show up. Must be some kind of native of Kronox. Dino Tailfire and Dino Bite can kill the light Dino warrior off, Dino Bite is better. Scene 5 ------- You will have to fight Dino Warriors this time. One of them is a light Dino, the other two are "normal" Dino warriors. Use the same tactic as above. Note that you will need 3 bite on Dino Warriors, not just 2, like at the light Dinos. After you killed all, go further. Scene 6 ------- Bat warriors will show up this time. They're similar to Dino warriors, they'll attack with spear. You may either choose Cyborg Axe, Cyborg Fork (these are the best, 1 or 2 will take'em out). But if you're resourceful, you can take'em out with Tank blaster by aiming diagonally up. Be sure you move close to their entry point, since if they descend to your level, they cannot be hit by Tank blasts furthermore. You may also use Dino Fire Breath, but it's less useful. Fight two of them, and then proceed. Scene 7 ------- You will encounter light Dino warriors, Dino warriors, and Bat warriors here. They will attack one by one. Start in your Dino form first, then switch to Cyborg form when Bat warriors show up. Destroy as many as the number indicates on the textfield. Scene 8 ------- You will arrive to a recharger UFO, an Alog11. Switch to your Cyborg mode, stay underneath it,and recharge yourself. This will save your game as well (and will overwrite your old saved game!). Move forward, stay in Cyborg mode. Scene 9 ------- You shall arrive to some kind of swamp. You cannot walk through it, you shall sink and die. Instead, move forward until you're neck-deep in the swamp, then do a jump. Then just walk out of the swamp. Scene 10 -------- You will come across a girders stand, with a green hornet nest attached to it. A swarm of hornets will just appear. Switch to Dino mode and do a Fire Breath. This is the only way to annihilate them. Then switch to Tank mode and take out the hornet nest with a blast. That is all. Scene 11 -------- The girders stand continues with more hornet nests. Ready yourself as a Dino to roast the approaching hornets, then switch to Tank mode, and shoot down all hornet nests. When you take out the second one from the left, a "bacon" will fall down. Grab it,and you get Lightning Strike power for Cyborg. After you destroyed all hornet nests, leave. Scene 12 -------- Nothing unusual here. Just a wrecked interplanetar freighter. Scene 13 -------- You will spot a "bacon" hanging from the girders. Try to reach it by switching to Cyborg and jumping for it. It shall give you the Magnetic rope, so you can pull y'self up to high places, if there is something to launch the rope at. Give it a try, then move forward. Scene 14 -------- You will encounter a dragon statue-like monster, very similar to the first rockpile-monster you saw, except it's much stronger. Do not even try to use Dino Flame Breath or Tank blasts here, the dragon is immune to these shots. You can destroy his fireballs with Tank blasts though! Approach the dragon, while taking out his fireballs, and then, jump right beside him as a Cyborg. Start Cyborg Axe or Cyborg Fork it. Fork is slower, but is stronger. The Dragon will melee you with his claws. Ignore his hits, the dragon shall go down real quick, just punch him with your Axe or Fork. Scene 15 -------- You entered a fen area again. Do NOT walk to the blobby areas, you shall sink and die in the depths of the swamp. use the flat isles for walk, and jump through the puddle. Step VERY carefully to the next screen. Scene 16 -------- You stand on the rim of a flat isle. Jump, and step twice forward to reach the middle island's rim, then jump again. Walk away. Scene 17 -------- This time, the gap will be too wide to jump through it, so you gonna use the Magnetic rope. Walk to the edge of the flatten isle, and jump. Now, when you start to sink, launch the grappling rope quickly! It'll latch on the girders stand, and will pull you up to the other edge of flatten isle. If not, launch the rope again. Scene 18 -------- You need to fight the native creatures of Kronox again here. Switch to Dino mode, and kill the light Dino Warrior that approaches. Then a Bat Warrior will come, finish it off with Tank blaster,or Cybork Axe or Fork. Once you finished, move forward. Scene 19 -------- More fighting: This time there will be at least 6 hostile entities. First one shall be a Bat Warrior. Use the same strategy as you did before. Dino against Dinos, Cyborg or Tank against Bat Warriors. If you're running low on power, use Dino Tail Fire to roast some Dino Warriors, then constantly march forward or backwards to avoid their spear. Kill as many enemies as necessary. Scene 20 -------- This time you'll engage the King (or Chief) of the Dino Warriors. This monster is bigger than the Dino warriors, and has a slightly stronger spear. He is also faster, so be on your guard. Kill him with Dino-bite, Tail fire is not recommended, you will just lose health. 6-8 bites will make the Dino King bite the dust. Scene 21 -------- Here is the second saving area with an Alog11 UFO. Stand underneath it, and recharge your energy in Cyborg form. You definitively needed it! Scene 22 -------- As you move forward, the firm ground will end again, in some kind of swamp. You will notice a big cayman-like lifeform (or maybe fish, I don't know). If you step into the water, the cayman will submerge, and then it'll start to attack you from any direction. So don't go in the water! Don't try to fight the cayman, it's impossible to kill it off. Besides, you need to "use" the cayman to take you further. Switch to Cyborg mode, and instead of stepping in the water, try to jump on the cayman's back! If you missed, quickly go back to the firm ground, before the cayman attacks you. It causes quite a lot of damage...Oh well, once you're made it on the cayman's back, let him take you further in your progress. Scene 23 -------- You arrive to a ground-level girders stand again. When the cayman reaches jump- distance, jump off the beast, on to the girders, and leave this place. Scene 24 -------- The first robot you'll engage is this, some kind of Sentinel robot I guess. He will not shoot at you until you drop down to his patrolling area. Dino Bite or Tail Fire are useless, there is two methods to kill. The first one is the most common: Switch to Tank mode, drop down to him,and shoot him with Tank blaster. 6-7 shots will destroy the Sentinel robot. But there is another. When the robot moves in your location, and turns his back to you, switch to your Cyborg form, quickly drop down, and try to smash him with Cyborg Axe or Cyborg Fork. One chop, or one stab will destroy the robot. Then, move forward. Scene 25 -------- You shall encounter another Sentinel robot here, a bit similar to the one you've devastated. Walk towards the girders he is patrolling at,and when he turns his back to you, pull yourself up with the Magnetic grappling hook with Cyborg. Make sure he will not see you, or your grapple, or else he'll shove himself back, and will fire at you with tank cannon. Once you're up there, you can use Tank Blaster to take down the robot, but the better idea is to stay in Cyborg mode, walk to him, try to reach his back. Once you reached his turning point, use Cyborg Axe or Cyborg Fork. One hit will take it out permamently. Scene 26 -------- An intersection is just ahead, and an empty hornet nest. Don't try to take out the hornet nest, it's only there for attaching the grappling hook if necessary. Don't plunge down yet, jump through the gap, and choose the upper girders walkway. Switch to Tank mode before advancing forward. Scene 27 -------- You shall fight with the third Sentinel robot here. This one is the toughest: unlike the first two, this is uneffected by Cyborg Axe or Fork, so the only way to destroy it is to shoot it with Tank blaster. The robot shoots devastating missiles. If a missile hit you, you got a free ticket to the robot graveyard! Don't approach the Sentinel. I assume he is myopic, since he will not spot you if you stay at your entry point. Wait for the Sentinel to reach your point, and then turn back. Then shoot him with Tank blaster continuously, 6-8 shots will take him out. Once the Sentinel is destroyed, he will drop a "bacon" for you. Acquire it, so you will have Missile launcher ability for the Tank Blaster. Go back. Scene 26 -------- This time, choose the lower walkway. Scene 28 -------- You are at the gate of the Robot City! Hooray! But how to penetrate the lock? Forget Tank blaster, and everything else, the door lock will fire back at you, causing damage. Use the Tank Missile you obtained earlier. One missile will devastate the lock, along with the door. Walk though the opening, and wave flags: you've completed the Kronox surface levels! [3-2] ROBOT CITY ---------------- The layout of the Robot City is wonderful, I like it very much! And so will you! Prepare for serious robot battles here! The Robot City is under the command of a tyrannic robot called POL4, the Prowler. City 1 ------ Once you arrived to Robot City and receive yourself from amazement, take a look at the ceiling. Two laser blasters are there. Don't bother to shoot'em, they are uneffected by Tank shots. Switch to Cyborg mode, and do some jumps till the end of this scene, this is how you can avoid their shots. City 2 ------ Well, you meet the first inhabitant of the Robot City: a two-legged havoc machine with a spinning blade. He marches forward to give you a nice greet. He is very slow, and constantly steps forwards-backwards like a drunken. Tank blaster or missile is not effective, you have to do melee attack with Cyborg Axe or Fork. Fork is stronger, Axe is quicker. Sure you might take some hits from the robot's spinnin' blade, but eventually, you will finish it off, and go further. City 3 ------ Ahh, a terminal! This terminal is very useful, you may trigger different things here according to your control, and such. You can also get an upgradement here! Don't forget: to operate computer panels and terminals (or anythin' else), you have to be in Cyborg mode! So enter the highlighted floor in Cyborg mode. Once your character establishes connection, you have the following options in the terminal: Z41 - Triggers move-inverting. This means, all the controls gets inverted. Annoying. Don't use it. Z35 - Activating this option will make your move a little bit distorted when being in Cyborg mode, like you have some kind of hiccup. I don't know if it's useful or not, activate if you want. Z21 - This one is important! By activating this option, you get a Bio-Radar for Tank mode robot! Using the Bio-Radar, you can track down the POL4 where he is on the Robot City. Z64 - This option may change the colour of the Robot City. You can either turn it into goldenlight, greenlight, or back to normal purple. If you're interested in different look, use it. Once you're ready, exit the terminal, and go through the door on the right. Elevator -------- You are in the main elevator of the Robot City (well, at least this part). You are on Floor number 1 now. Note that there are 5 different floors: 0,1,2,3,4. You can control the elevator with up-down keys, in any robot forms. Quickly switch to Tank mode, and do a Bio-Radar scan, trying to locate the POL4 in the city. Avoid the floor where the POL4 is, you are not ready to fight him yet. You need to go to Floor 4 first. If the POL4 is there, enter to another floor, and screw around a little until he leaves. At least you explore the Robot City a bit. If the POL4 is not on floor 4, go there, and enter the door on the right. Floor 4 - 1 ----------- A saving area with an UFO! Use it to save your game, and regain power. Then go to the right. Floor 4 - 2 ----------- You shall arrive to some kind of vantage point. There is a big pit ahead, with particle beam-cannons on both upside and downside. At the center, there is a rocket-powered lift you need to use for moving forward. Switch to Cyborg mode, and jump off the ledge, onto the lift. Many people have failed here, since they could not control the lift. You need to press the Shift button while controlling the lift! You must also need to push the "Up" arrow, or the lift will descend into the particle beam, and you'll die. So you need to gently push the "Up" arrow to keep the lift away from the particle beam cannon below. Also don't push too strong, or else you'll get destroyed at the upper beam! Push the "Right" arrow to leave this side of the pit. Floor 4 - 3 ----------- Riding the rocket-powered lift, navigate yourself to the other ledge at the opposite end of the pit. Avoid both upper and lower particle beam cannons. Stay on the center! Once you reached the ledge, you'll automatically exit the lift, which goes back to the pit then. There is a joke: If you switch to Tank mode, and shoot at the lift, it'll explode, and you will lose all health, but you will stay alive (in 99% of the cases). Do not do it, the following scenes will contain some fighting. Floor 4 - 4 ----------- Nothing unusual here. Go to the upper ledge, and use the Cyborg Grappling hook on that T-shaped iron structure to climb up. Switch to Tank mode after that. Floor 4 - 5 ----------- Here you'll encounter Bomber planes, which drop rockets to harm you. The best choice is to switch to Tank mode, and hunt'em down with Tank blaster. If a rocket is being dropped, you may take it out with a Tank blast or a Missile. It will not damage you too heavily anyways, but I strongly recommend you to save as much power as possible. You may still take out the Bomber plane with Dino Fire-Breath, or even Cyborg Axe and Fork, if it flies low height. Once you've destroyed it, jump through the pit, and move forward. Floor 4 - 6 ----------- Here you need to destroy more Bomber planes. Easy as can be. Stay at Tank mode, and just shoot them. If they're coming from your direction, simply shoot upwards, you'll destroy them before they could drop their rockets. If they do, shoot the rocket down. Diagonal shoots are for planes which arrive from the other side. Switch back to Cyborg and move forward if you're ready. Floor 4 - 7 ----------- This one should be easily. Nothing to do, just grapple yourself up to those iron rods at the ceiling, and walk the ledges. You can even do a jump forward from the second ledge. Not hard, eh? Well, wait till you arrive to the next area... Floor 4 - 8 ----------- This one may really give you the pip. The walkway you're stalking at will end in a pit, and you have to get up to that upper ledge. There is a small lift moving left and right at the depths of the pit. You have to do correct measures, try to figure out your jump distance. If you miscalculate, you will fall down and God knows what happens to you down there...main thing is, you die. So try to jump straight to that small lift. Once you managed to do so, the lift will raise to the ledge, so you can jump to there. Move forward. Floor 4 - 9 ----------- A robot fight will come. The ledge will end, and there shall be another deep pit. You need to cross the pit via a jump, to the lower walkway...where a robot waits for you! This one is similar to the first robot you engaged here in the Robot City, it attacks with grinder. Needless to say that Tank blasts and missiles are useless. You have to fight him in Cyborg mode. Cyborg Fork works perfectly, as well as Axe. Do not get pushed back, or you'll fall down into your death! Strike hard and merciless, whack the robot until it explodes, then leave. Floor 4 - 10 ------------ You shall arrive one of the main controlling terminals. Walk there and operate it. Here you can trigger some of the systems in Robot City: ¿ Teleporters - Don't operate this, it shall disable all teleporters, and you will not be able to return to the main elevator. ¿ Stomach Chamber - It's "Salle-Estomac" in French. THIS is the one which you need to operate. Unlock the Stomach Chamber, which can be found at the left door in Floor 0. By doing this, the POL4 robot will stop its wandering around in the Robot City, and will enter that chamber instead. ¿ Lights - Trigger this is you like darkness better. I don't advise you though. ¿ Temposo - This will decrese the speed of yours. Don't use it. When you're done, go to the right. Floor 4 - 11 ------------ Stand underneath the teleporter cannon, and operate it to return to the elevator. Elevator -------- Now you may choose floor 1 or 2. Entering floor 0 or 3 is useless for now. Let's say you travel to floor 2 now. Floor 2 - 1 ----------- Exit the lift, and an enemy will strike upon you: a sentry globe. This drone moves quickly in the air to up, down, and left...this means the drone will not get in your back. But, it moves damn quickly, and constantly changes its position around you. So switch to Tank mode, and engage it with Tank cannon! Try to figure out where the drone will move next, then give it a shot! If you did it correctly, the drone is destroyed, and you can move forward. Floor 2 - 2 ----------- In this computer room, you will need to engage at least 6 sentry globes (in difficulty 1). Not too hard. The best choice is to shoot diagonally up with your Tank, so you may take most of them out before they could even react! They will all come from the ceiling, so shooting up diagonally is particulary effective! Move forward a bit if the sentry globes don't seem to approach, then blast'em. Floor 2 - 3 ----------- The last room of second floor. Here is a small information computer which you can operate. Some of the informations are quite valuable for your quest. You may get information about Language stuff, Arod 7 and the Robot City. Return to the elevator once you got all you wanted. Choose Floor number 1 this time. Elevator -------- Do a quick scan with Bio-Radar about POL4, then go to 1st Floor. Floor 1 - 1 ----------- Exiting the lift, notice those cone-shaped things on the ceiling. Yup, they are laser blasters, similar to those you encountered earlier, when you entered the Robot City. You need to save as many power as possible, so do a quick jump through them. Floor 1 - 2 ----------- The jumping continues: this room has 4 laser blasters attached to the ceiling! Measure your jumps correctly, try not to get hit by them. If you calculate you'd jump into the line of fire, switch to Tank mode, and roll a little bit forwards or backwards. If you do it right, you may be able to pass these blasters without any damage. Floor 1 - 3 ----------- Huh, survived the laser-run. Now here comes another armed gate lock! Unlike the Robot City entrance gate, this will fire one bullet all by itself. You can avoid these shots by doing a transformation. Switch to Tank mode, and blast a missile to this annoying little eye. This will blow up the lock, as well as the door! Avoid its last shot with a transformation, and move through the blown gate. Floor 1 - 4 ----------- Looks like it's a dead end. Or not? There is a sealed trapdoor on the ceiling with a small red light flickering. Switch to Tank mode, and shoot the red light, this will cause the gate to hatch. Then, you know what to do...yup, Cyborg mode, and launch the rope to enter the new scenario: Caverns. Caverns 1 --------- And here you are, deep inside the forgotten caverns with many deadly and vicious inhabitants. Strange rashes grew out of the pale wall. I'd rather care about those giant spiders which appear from the right! They will shoot you with Tank blaster. Quickly transfer yourself to Dino form, and bite'em! You may also use Tail Fire, one bite, and one flame will take care of the spider. Walk forward. Caverns 2 --------- This is one of the toughest areas. You need to assassinate at least six of these detestable spiders! They're coming in from EVERY possible direction! Stay in Dino form. You just need to take their hits, however, you may avoid some by transforming y'self. Do not walk forward too far, remember, they will come from your back as well! Stay on Tail Fire-range to the cave you came from, and wait for the spider to come. If it arrives, bite it. Then quickly roast the ones at your back with Tail Fire. Welcome the new spiders from the right with Dino Bites. If necessary, change position: Bite the spiders to the left, and burn the spiders to the right! If you step quickly, you should survive with average damage. Switch to Tank, and go to the right. Caverns 3 --------- Some kind of strange bat...or bird-thing will arrive from the right. Once it got you, it's really hard to get rid of it! You may use Tank blaster, Tank missile, Cyborg Blade, Cyborg Fork or Dino Flame Breath. I'd recommend Tank mode, it works much better. If you're done, move forward. Caverns 4 --------- Another lone bird will arrive from the passage located in the upper right. Stay in Tank mode, do not move forward. If the bird approaches, fire a missile on it. If it does not work, quicky switch to Dino mode, and blow it away with Flame breath. Once you are ready, go to the wall on the right, just below the passage. Do not get too close, you will not be able to launch the grappling hook. Move a bit farther, then launch the grappling hook. Caverns 5 --------- Here you'll engage at least 5 birds. The best choice is to switch to Tank mode, plunge down to the hole, and continuously shoot upwards, the birds will arrive from the left as well. Tank blaster can take'em out. Birds from the front, use some missiles. Switch to Cyborg mode, and jump away if you get touched by them. Finish the rest off, then pull y'self up with your magnetic grapple. Caverns 6 --------- The cave gets narrow here. A strange dragon-like creature arrives from the left. Very easy. Tank mode, blast it off with cannon or missile. Stay in your Tank mode now, this is the only thing which could move in the narrowed cave now. Caverns 7 --------- This one is a bit harder: You need to take out at least 8 of these flying dragon-monsters. Not hard, but move away from the left, they will arrive from there as soon as you fried the first one. Stay in Tank mode, and use Tank blaster or Missile launcher against them. Ones which float higher will require missile of course. Do not let them get too many bites out of you! Always fire on the nearest dragon-robot. When the coast is clear, move out. Caverns 8 --------- An intersection comes. The upper ledge leads you a dead end with unlimited spiders, so choose the lower one. Switch to Tank mode, get ready for a little fight. Caverns 9 --------- This area is also tough as can be: You need to engage dragon-ships and spiders at the same time! Moreover, the minimum amount of destroy count is undefinied here!! Luckily, the cave is wide here, so you can switch yourself to Cyborg and Dino. Always take out the dragon-ships first, then kill off the spiders in Dino form. They will also arrive from the left, so I advise you to stay on the center of the cave. By transforming yourself, you may avoid some bullet hits and bites. Do not stop until the corridor runs out of enemies. If you survived, go to the right. Caverns 10 ---------- The intersection branch fusions into one tunnel again. The funny thing is, you cannot launch the rope to the right! You need to face to the dead end of the upper cave, and launch the grapple there! As I said, spiders will emerge from the corner. Don't bother fightin' them, there are unlimited amounts of spiders (however, if you recharged yourself, and wish to earn gigantic high score, you may return here and take out some of them, continuous Dino Tail Fire works great). Quickly jump to the right in Cyborg mode, and leave. Caverns 11 ---------- You successfully detected the end of the caverns: there is an airlock at the right. A coloumn seems to block your way. Switch to Tank mode, and give it a missile. Now, three bird will arrive from the explosion! Fire them off with Tank blaster quickly! There! The save point is not far! Leave these damn caves via the airlock. Back to Robot City. Floor 1 - 5 ----------- Nothing unusual here. Just cross the gap by a jump, and walk forward... Floor 1 - 6 ----------- And finally here it is! An Alog11 UFO waiting for you to recharge! Cross the hole, and recharge y'self here! Now you're at full potential again, and the game is saved! Cross the other hole, and move forward. Floor 1 - 7 ----------- You will have to fight another robot here. Similar to the grinder, it attacks with mounted spikes on its arms. Causes slightly more damage than the grinder...but still not a worthy opponent. Whack it with Cyborg Blade or Fork a couple o'times, and it's a goner. Walk though the door. Floor 1 - 8 ----------- You will arrive to a big computer here. Walk to the highlighted area to operate it. This will give the Mosquito robot unit for your Dino! You can guide the little robot to activate distant levers which you cannot reach, and such. Advance forward now. Floor 1 - 9 ----------- Another teleporter awaits you here. Use it, and you'll find y'self in the elevator. Elevator -------- Now you are ready to enter floor 3. Do so. Floor 3 - 1 ----------- Seems this place is empty. The scenery is lovely though! Leave to the right. Floor 3 - 2 ----------- Seems like it's a dead end. And if you continue forward, you're going to be dead as well! There are two cannons which has moving pulsar charges right beside them. There is a lever which could deactivate these cannons, but you need to have the Mosquito Robot to do this. Don't worry if the Mosquito gets destroyed, you have unlimited amounts of them. When you de-activated the cannons, they'll get "pulled" into a wall, which becomes a door. So use the door! Floor 3 - 3 ----------- Another robot fight comes. Unlike the spike and grinder robots, this has an axe...so it's slightly stronger. Have no fear, just switch to Cyborg mode, and pummel it with Axe or Fork! It's not too resistant, seven or eight hits with the Fork will turn it into garbage. Whew! Move forward! Floor 3 - 4 ----------- This is the last chamber in this floor. Everything is dark, a lonely computer awaits for you. Operate it, and you have to complete a verification test here! Seems it'll verify that whether or not your are the POL4. Here are the correct answers to complete the test: 1: Kenrae 2: Zwykx 3: French 4: Kronox 5: 50 6: 2 months Once you completed this test, you get the Energy Shield for Dino! There!!! Now you may begin your clash with POL4! Go back to elevator. Elevator -------- Go to the lowest floor, switch to Dino form, take a deep breath, and choose the left airlock. Floor 0 - left -------------- And here is the POL4! Walking forward and backward, shooting devastator boomerang-projectiles...one hit will take you out! So quickly turn your Energy Shield on! There! Now he can shoot as many times as he wishes, the shield will protect you (even if he walks right beside you). Time to deploy the Mosquito! You see that big mouth-like opening on the floor? Good! Then seek out the lever which activates it to chew! There is the lever on the upper left wall on the chamber. Fly the Mosquito there, and activate the switch. The mouth-like opening will open wide, and the POL4 will fall sooner or later. Yum yum! Then his head gets spit out! Looks like it was not tasty for the floor. Oh well, the POL4 is away! Return the Mosquito in your body, and leave the stomach chamber. Elevator -------- Go to the right at floor 0. Floor 0 - 1 ----------- Seems this room is empty...oh well, go to the right. Floor 0 - 2 ----------- A spike robot is protecting the terminal in the far. Engage it with Cyborg mode! Avoid his spikes if you can (transforming or backpedal), and take it out with Fork or Axe. Then, go to the right. Floor 0 - 3 ----------- And here you are. The final terminal you need to operate. This one, however, is the hardest and most depressing one! Since if you haven't got a manual for the game, it cannot be completed! Here is the part where most of the players lost their mind, and stopped playing: You need to guess a word from the box of the Metal Mutant game, type it in, and press Enter. And finally, the solutions are here!!! Word | Line -----+----- 2 | 4 forms 1 | 10 puzzles 3 | 7 ropes 8 | 1 machines 3 | 9 arcade 3 | 2 planet 4 | 4 an 3 | 1 is Just type in the word, send it with Enter, and if everythin' is OK, you immediately get access to the underground level. Yay for you! Now get back to the elevator without a late! Elevator -------- As you see, a new floor appeared on the board. So take the new lowest floor - underground. [3-3] PROCESSING PLANT ====================== Underground 1 ------------- You arrived to the metal processing plant. Everything is red and menacing. Don't be afraid now, just step forward to the next area. Underground 2 ------------- Notice those two holes on the floor. If you approach them, flame bursts will come out, and damage you. Jump through them, I assume you got a little practice of jumping by now. Underground 3 ------------- You'll engage the first enemy here, a zombie slave. He looks funny, but he may cause some damage with his axe! Tank bullets are useless here, you may either take him out with Dino Bite (not recommended), or Cyborg Blade...or Fork. You can avoid most of his hits by constantly transforming yourself. Chop the zombie up, and then move ahead! Underground 4 ------------- Hm...your robot senses a "bacon" somewhere nearby! By the way, this is the point where the players stuck, who could not operate that terminal. Now, you can move forward, but first, switch to Dino mode, and let the Mosquito out! You see that small switch at the upper left corner? Trigger it with the Mosquito, and a "bacon" will drop from the ceiling! Pick it up, and you get the Hypnotizer Eye Blaster for Dino! Try it if you wish, then move to the big pipe. Pull yourself up with the grappling hook, and move forward! Underground 5 ------------- This metal processing facility is really big, I felt lost and defenseless wanderin' around here at the pipes. Just go forward, and pull yourself up with your magnetic grappling hook when climbing the pipes. Underground 6 ------------- You have entered to an old part of the metal processing plant. No enemies will come this time. Note that pit among the two vertical pipelines at the second part of this area. Avoid it at all costs. If you fall down, you cannot get out, and y'have to start this misery all over. So when you are near that pit, simply jump through the gap. Underground 7 ------------- This is the end of the pipelines. Carefully plan your path, there are two holes on the ground. If you surround them, flame bursts will come out and damage you. Try jump off from the pipeline to arrive among the two holes, or at least jump quickly away if you get in the range of a fireblast. Switch to Dinosaur mode, it will be necessary now. Underground 8 ------------- Here you will meet a floating robot shooting hypnotizer-blasts! The only way to take it out is to hypnotize it back with your Dino's new ability! Don't experiment with anything else, or you'll suffer heavy damage. Do not worry much about the robot's hypnotizer blasts, your blasts can dissipate them. Just press the Hypnotizing blaster quickly, you should take out the robot in no time. Then...forward. Underground 9 ------------- Here is an Alog11 module waiting for you at the central pipe! Simply jump to there, and recharge yourself, plus save your game. You gonna need it. The next part of the processing plant is gonna be a really hard one! Underground 10 -------------- As soon as you advance forward, you will notice a rocket turret on the floor, firing at you. Switch immediately to Dino mode and activate the Energy Shield! Luckily the rocket turret can not fire rapidly, so y'can move forward once the rocket dissipates on your shielf. Every time a little closer! Patience, my friend! When you can not move forward, wait for the turret to fire his last rocket, then bite it with Dino. There. Underground 11 -------------- Spring is in the air...hmm! Can't you just feel it? Well, here is that spring in front of you! Jump on it, switch to Dino mode, and set the Mosquito free. You see that switch in the upper left corner? Operate it, so the spring will prod you up to that ledge. Return the Mosquito then, and move forward! Underground 12 -------------- You will see a conveyor ahead. Jump to the conveyor, it will ferry you to the next area. Underground 13 -------------- The conveyor takes you to some kind of compactor machine. Engines are firing up,and you get packed in a little tin can. Don't struggle, you cannot avoid this. The conveyor will take you further. Underground 14 -------------- Here you will encounter the stupidest monster: A walking jack-knife with a tin opener. You will get transformed back to your old self in 5 "tempos" (around 15 seconds), but until that, you must avoid this idiotic monster's hits. There is no better recipe than walking left and right, and when you get a hit, turn to the opposite direction. Here you can survive that 15 seconds with minimal damage. Do not get hit too many times! When you're back to normal, kill off this dumb jack-knife, and move forward. Underground 15 -------------- There will be two pipes on the floor, and three flaming holes. Here is what you need to do to take no harm: Switch to Tank mode, and roll to the very beginning of this area (you will see the half of your robot). Transform y'self back to Cyborg, and jump forward. If y'did it right, y'landed on the central area between the two flaming holes. Now jump forward, and then jump again. Underground Elevator 1 ---------------------- Another conveyor is just ahead, with two big machines which might seem familiar. No no, they will not compact you again, these are elevators. The first red machine transfers you to Level 1, and the second one will take you to level 3. Jump on the conveyor. Do not go to level 1 yet, you have work on level 3 and 2 first. So simply choose "No" when you get asked whether or not you wish to go to level 1. Then the conveyor takes you to the second elevator. This time, choose "Yes". Level 3 - 1 ----------- Here you are. Note that you cannot go to the direction of the left, only to the right (this applies to all other levels as well). Get ready for combat. Level 3 - 2 ----------- Another zombie slave is here (from Van Beethovenia): this one may shoot Lost Souls on you (flashback to Doom)!!! If he is standin' on the distance, he might stop there, and start to launch Lost Souls. To take out Lost Souls, use Cyborg Axe, works great (except there are two Lost Souls come at the same time, then do a quick transformation). These zombies are much more relentless here. When he approaches to you, be careful not to get hit too many times, you shall lose most of your power. Here'z what y'need to do: When he is nearby, continuously transform yourself, he should miss every time he waves his axe on you. When he withdraws, change back to Cyborg, and wait for him to approach again. If so, hit him with Axe or Fork. Fork is better. When he is nearby again, start transforming yourself. This is the tactic when dealing wit' these zombies. Repeat this until he dies. Level 3 - 3 ----------- Another enemy comes: sort of a helicopter-dragon robot. Similar to those rocket-like dragon robots y'encountered in the caverns, especially this one has really thick shell! Forget Hypno-Eye blaster and Missile attack here. Tank blaster, Dino Flame Breath, Cyborg Axe and Cyborg Fork can be used. The very best choice is Cyborg Fork again. Although this Heli-Dragon is resistant to bullets, he is very vulnerable for your fork-attack. You can avoid some of its bites by quick-transforming yourself. Then hit it with your fork, it'll go down real quickly. Level 3 - Rest -------------- You will notice two valves here. First one is closed, second one is open. The closed valves' monitor are red, the open valves' monitor are bright. Here in level 3, the combination is: First valve closed, second valve open. Return to the lift when you're ready, and go back to the Underground. Underground Elevator 1 ---------------------- When you get asked what direction you want to go, choose the "Right". You will get to Underground Elevator 2. Underground Elevator 2 ---------------------- Here is the third elevator which will take you to level 2. Use it. Level 2 - 1 ----------- Move forward and prepare for a zombie. Level 2 - 2 ----------- A zombie from the Bald Planet (interesting planet, no doubt) is here. The tactic is the same with the Beethoven-zombie above. When he gets near, keep transforming. When he approaches, fork him. When he launches Lost Souls, chop'em up with Axe. Move forward once y're ready here. Level 2 - Rest -------------- You will see two valves again. Both should be closed. Go back to Underground Elevator 2, once you closed both (both monitors are red). Underground Elevator 2 ---------------------- This time move to the left. Underground Elevator 1 ---------------------- Do not go to level 3, you already passed that level (I suppose). The time is right, however, to do sightseeing on level 1. So choose the other elevator. Level 1 - 1 ----------- Another zombie fight comes, the last one. Get ready! Level 1 - 2 ----------- And here he is! Most likely this one will not launch Lost Souls, but be on your guard if he does. The tactic of annihilation is the same. Kill him off. Level 1 - 3 ----------- This one is tough as can be! There is the big boss of the zombie slaves, a giant robot with a scourge! Hypnotizer eye-blaster, missiles or Tank blasts will fail here. Yup, you need to move right to his stomach and punch it with your Axe or Fork! This is not easy! Therefore you need to jump there! If he hits you with his scourge, it will damage you BAD!!! Here is what you must do. Once you are right in front of the big robot, continuously transform yourself, especially if he raises his hand! ALWAYS keep an eye on the scourge! If you get hit, step quickly back. His vertical hits will swap your 1/4 power in one strike, his horizontal strikes are less damaging. I would avoid both if I were you. So keep transforming yourself, his scourge should miss most of the strikes. When he is standing still, use Fork on him! Sure you need a couple of hits to take him out, but this is the best way. Fork does more damage than Axe, and before he could strike you with his scourge, you can quickly transform yourself. I know it's not easy, but keep trying! Once you destroyed him, move forward. Level 1 - Rest -------------- Here you'll see two more valves again. The position of the valves should be that the first is closed, and the second one is open. And here is the trick. If you arrive to level 1 BEFORE you would complete level 2 and 3, activating the second valve will blow you up and you die. Therefore, only operate this valve if you're passed level 2 and 3! Next, head back to the Underground Elevator 1. Underground Elevator 1 ---------------------- To the right. No, you don't want to go on level 3. Underground Elevator 2 ---------------------- No, no level 2. This time you will stay on level 0. Leave the conveyor to the right. Underground 18 -------------- Another Hypnotizer-Blaster robot descends from the ceiling to scrap you. Quickly switch to Dino mode, and hypnotize it back! Remember, press the "PgUp" quickly, so the robot's hypnotizer blasts will be dissolved, and finally it goes down. Continue. Underground 17 -------------- And here is the last two valves. Open the first one and close the second one. Now the valve positions should look like this: (Bright means "Open", while "Red" means closed) Floor | Position | First Second ------+----------------- 0 | Bright Red 1 | Red Bright 2 | Red Red 3 | Red Bright Once you managed to figure out this combination, go to the right. Underground 18 -------------- There is a big grey mechanical gate ahead. If you configured the valves correctly, it will open in front of your cybronic eyes! Switch to Tank and move through it. Underground 19 -------------- This one will really eat your nerves, especially if you have no sound for the game. You see that gate? Well, it is closed, and the switch is at the other side! You have only option. Transform to Dino mode, and release the Mosquito. Now, watch that red pipe carefully. You need to navigate your Mosquito through the pipes to the other end. Do it VERY carefully!!! If you lost the progress of your Mosquito inside, you can have a one-day fun with getting it out. Luckily, if your Mosquito hits a wall, you will hear a buzzing sound, which means, you cannot move the little robot to that direction furthermore. Use your trusty fingers if you desire, just do not lose where your Mosquito is! Measure the distances carefully, as well as the speed of the Mosquito. If you're smart, you can do it in 2 minutes. There is no need to rush! Navigate the little robot through the pipes to the other end, and touch the lever with it. The gate shall open. Now return your Mosquito (not through the pipes unless you're a masochist) to the Dino, switch to Tank, and move through the gate. Underground 20 -------------- Hm...your robot smells somethin' again! Wanna check out? Go to the white triangle on the floor, and release the Mosquito again. The switch is at the upper left corner. Touch it, and...hey, that's not a "bacon"! That's a bunny rabbit mask! What a bad joke! Oh well...return your Mosquito now, and transform yourself to Tank, so y'can get rid of that bunny rabbit mask. It was not a good joke, I tell ya! Nothing more here, march forward! Underground 21 -------------- Seems the path ends here. A thick metal coloumn is blocking your way. Since you are in Tank mode now, shoot 3 missiles, it will destroy the coloumn, and you can move forward. Switch back to Cyborg though. Underground 22 -------------- You need to fight 3 Helicopter-Dragon robots here! Use the Force...I mean, the Fork! They will come from different directions, so go to the center of this corridor, and engage'em there. Avoid some of the bites with transforming, and then pummel them with your Cyborg Fork! This work surprisingly well, you'll be ready in less than 1 minutes with minimal damage. Underground 23 -------------- Finally, you found the teleporter to Kheops 15000, the Five Pyramids where Arod 7 is. Jump on the conveyor, and... Pyramid 0 --------- A save point! Good heavens! Quickly grab some power for y'self, and save the game! You will need it like hell, since you gonna wander through all 5 Pyramids! Each one, a new form of action awaits! The following part of the game requires 8 hours of decent sleep so I advise you to rest your head. Step on to the small teleporter tile if you're ready. Pyramid 1 - 1 ------------- A mystical silhouette will just appear. He is Izaak, the former creator of Arod 7. It seems he also wants you to destroy Arod 7, and will give you some hints as well, how to do it. To reach Arod 7, you need to complete all 5 Pyramids. This is the first one: Trial by noise! I hope you have a working sound card, or else... Pyramid 1 - 2 ------------- Well, if you got a workin' sound card, y'can pass this with minimal damage. Step to the organ (or piano?), and listen EXTREMELY carefully for the five sounds you will hear. Then, you must find these sounds one by one on the "piano simulator" which appears on the textfield. This changes all the time, so I cannot give you solutions (sorry). You have to find these tones and play'em back in the same order you hear it. If you do a mistake, you take a little damage from those eyeballs above. Listen very carefully, and repeat the small melody, this will make the door raise. If you have problems wit' sounds, you simply cannot get past this part. Pyramid 1 - 3 ------------- Fight the Guardian of the First Pyramid here. As usual, Missiles, Tank Blasts, and Hypnotizer-Eye will fail here...you just need to engage the Guardian wit' Axe or Fork! He does less damage that that zombie slave controller did, but he strikes much faster! Quick transformation will still help you though...sometimes. Use the Fork here as well, between transformations. Not too hard, y'can take it out, and use the teleporter tile. Pyramid 2 - 1 ------------- Izaak shows up again, gives you some kind of blessing (I guess), and tells your next fight: Your mirror match! Let's just see this one! Pyramid 2 - 2 ------------- Step onto the tile, and those eyeballs will create your exact mirror match to the another! Not just he is the same with you in all aspects, he will do the same things as well! This one is still easy as 1,2,3. Switch to Tank mode, and roll a bit farther. Then switch back to Dino mode, and do a Dino-bite! It will damage your mirror match, not you. Bite it 3-4 times, then back to Tank mode, roll closer, and transform y'self Dino mode again. Bite your mirror match 3-4 times this time. Continue this process until your mirror match is pushed against the door, then you can continuously bite it. It'll go down quickly. Huh! Pyramid 2 - 3 ------------- Activate the Energy Shield as soon as you're here. The guard robot there will shoot with rapid Tank blaster! This one is really hard to destroy. Once he stops attacking for a while, step forward, but immediately activate the Shield again! It's very hard to avoid this monster's hits, if a fusillade catches you, you'll receive serious damage! So be on your guard! One step forward - immediate Shield activation. March forward until you're right at him. The best choice for taking this Guardian out is to transform yourself to Cyborg mode when it still fires, and quickly maul it with your Fork. It worked for me. Then use the teleporter tile Pyramid 3 - 1 ------------- Izaak will tell you this time you'll have to locate the sensitive spot. Do you like little termites? I don't. Especially not this one!!! This monster is the toughest and most powerful in this whole friggin' game in my opinion. Step forward, and face it! Pyramid 3 - 2 ------------- Little termite? It's a HUGE termite! And it's stuffed with weapons! This will be your hardest fight, I swear you will restart at least 8-10 times. Step inside az a Dino, and put up your Energy shield immediately! This giant termite has 3 weapons: Missile launchers, clamp grip, and purple flame. Very hard to destroy it. Here is how you can do it. Take 1 step inside, you will be at jump-distance. Hold your Shield until the termite stops firing those missiles for a short time. Then quickly transform yourself to Cyborg, and jump right in front of the termite. And when I say "right front of", I MEAN it! You need to be EXACTLY right next to this giant bug! If you get pushed back, immediately step forward! Try to shoot diagonally up in Tank mode, to that red heart of termite's. You can also do quick-transforms to avoid his grips, and even the missiles! Step IMMEDIATELY back if you get shoved, or the purple flame will harm you really bad. I told you, this is the hardest fight. Aim diagonally up (Shift + PgUp), and shoot the heart 3 times. If you managed to do so, the termite is dead, and you can move forward. Pyramid 3 - 3 ------------- The third Guardian has a shield, and a sword, so a little close combat comes again. This is damn easy I tell ya. Walk right beside him, and immediately start to use the Fork! When he lowers his shield, he get hit, and will "shout it pain". This means, he will not hit you with his sword. Continue the forking until it explodes. Pyramid 4 - 1 ------------- Our "friend" Izaak will ask you whether or not y'afraid of ghosts. This fight will be easy compared to the termite. Just walk ahead... Pyramid 4 - 2 ------------- If this is a ghost, then I'm Ferenc Gyurcsany. Seriously, this little rubber- figure is rather funny than menacing. It looks like some kind of little devil without a fork. It will teleport itself all around the place, and even if it hits you, it will not deal great damage (however, after the termite, I assume you have very little strength left). It's damn easy to avoid this "ghost" attack moves. If it teleports right at you, it will kick you, that is all. You can kill off this annoying little pest with Tank blaster! When it appears at a possible route of fire, don't hesitate to shoot it. If the "ghost" reappears right at you, do a quick-transformation, you can easily avoid its kick. If you wish, you can switch to Cyborg mode and jump away. Main thing is, the "ghost" is vulnerable for Tank blaster, so feel free to use it! Once you're ready, switch to Dino form, and carefully advance. Pyramid 4 - 3 ------------- Launch Hypnotizer Eye-attacks, since this Guardian will shoot'em too! Remember to those flying Hypno-eye robots? Now, you will have to do the same thing. Don't activate shields, it'll fail gainst Hypno-eye blast. So the only thing which can defeat this Guardian is to Hypno-eye it back! You will negate his attacks, and hart him as well (you might get a few hits too, so act quickly). Shoot it until it's gone. Veni, vidi, vici, to the 5th pyramid! Pyramid 5 - 1 ------------- The final battle is near, as Izaak says. Prepare for combat...but first, a little reloading comes! Pyramid 5 - 2 ------------- Thank you God! An Alog11 module! You can recharge yourself in no time! Switch to Dino from to move ahead. Pyramid 5 - 3 ------------- Here you'll elimiate Skudar, the bodyguard of Arod 7. Skudar will shoot you with those missiles, which can take you out in one hit! So activate your Energy Shield. Every time a missile is negated on your shield, step forward. Not too hard, eh? Well, when you're right at Skudar, wait till he fires his last missile. Then quickly switch to Cyborg mode and do the Lightning Strike! This is the only way to take him out. There is no guarantee that Skudar will not fire a missile when you're charging y'self up, but when you are standing right next to him, he will stop the missile fire for long periods (that's why you had to wait). If you get killed...well,you just have to try again. At least you could save your progress before the final fight. If not...Skudar is toast, and you can move forward to get a little something... Pyramid 5 - 4 ------------- Hmm, a bubble with a "bacon"! What could it be? Well, shoot the bubble with a Tank blaster and you find out. Hyperspeed! Well it's not really "hyper", but you'll be much quicker at least. And now...the final battle begins. Arod 7's Chamber ---------------- I though Arod 7 is some kind of gigantic robot monstrousity, and what I get? A stupid-looking skull sitting on a couple o'server banks or wtf. Oh well...here is how you can devastate Arod 7. None of the original combat forms work at him. Instead, look at his head! A red monitor is flickering, showing an image. This is stupid, but you will need to quickly make the moves what he shows you! This is where your hyper-speed upgrade will be useful. The order of using your abilities changes from time to time, so you need to act really quickly. Try not to make mistakes, or else Arod 7 will open his mouth and fire you to death with missiles (Shield will not work). Here is a little help for each picture which get shown on the monitor. Cyborg Axe = axe picture. Cyborg Fork = a neptun-fork image. Cyborg Lightning strike = A sketch of a lightning bolt. Cyborg Magnetic rope = A "T" letter. Cyborg jump = An arrow. If you cannot per. Flame breath = A small fire. Energy Shield = A curved line with small dots around it. Until your shield is active, Arod 7 will not show another image, so you can take a little rest. Dino Hypnotizer-Eye = An eye. Dino Mosquito = A really misunderstandable image, looks like a spider, or a piece of dirt. As long as your Mosquito is free, Arod 7 is paused again. Tank blaster = A small image of a bullet. Tank missile = An image of a rocket, much bigger than the blaster's. Bio-Radar = A balloon-like thing. You might notice that small red line moving up to Arod 7's skull. Once you did all the moves, Arod 7 will self-destruct, and hooray! You completed Metal Mutant!!! (No spoilers! If you're curious 'bout the ending, complete the game y'self! :PPPP ) [4] POSTLUDIUM ============== By the time you reach this chapter of my FAQ, you will know everythin' 'bout this game which is necessary for you to complete it. This game was really enjoyable and fantastic, along with the fact that I had to spent hours with some parts (especially the termite-robot). Although there were some idiotic parts (the walking jack-knife monster, the bunny rabbit-mask etc.), this game is an old favourite of mine. And from now on, you may also complete it. I wish there was a second part for this game, with new adventures and new sci-fi realities. As I said before, I found no cheats or trainers for this game. There are lots of fake cheats on the Internet, but they're not workin' at all, so don't even experiment wit' 'em. I know about a trainer, which will not work either (if you can find it). If you have some kind of problem wit' the game, feel free to contact me at [lambda_team(at)freemail.hu]. Replace the (at) with a "@", and please do not send spam or anythin' else, I might not tolerate it too well... I wrote this FAQ, and I can prove it easily that I did. You may distribute it and such, WITHOUT modifyin' or deletin' parts of ot it, incluldin' my name. [5] SPECIAL THANKS ================== - To Silmarils for this super game! We all love it here in Hungary! - To my dark-goth girlfriend, Sharya - To the Heavy Troopers band - To you, for readin' my artwork. Reactor Lambda Team 2007.05.02
